Loghill House

Nestled in the serene foothills of Ridgway, Colorado, this Mountain Modern residence is thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the dramatic alpine landscape. The architecture is defined by a striking single-slope roofline that elevates the eastern side of the home, allowing for expanded interior volume and a full second floor that houses the primary suite. This elevated suite is strategically positioned to welcome the soft glow of morning sunlight, both inside the room and across an expansive private sun deck—ideal for quiet reflection amid panoramic mountain views.

At the heart of the home, a double-height great room anchors the living space with soaring ceilings and expansive windows that frame the surrounding forest. A loft space above creates a visual and physical connection between the upper and lower levels, fostering a sense of openness and continuity throughout the interior.

The exterior is clad in a custom random board and batten siding that evokes the rich textures and tones of the native tree bark, allowing the house to blend seamlessly with the wooded environment. This tactile façade, along with clean modern lines and natural materials, creates a residence that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in its environment—an elegant expression of modern mountain living.
